In case you're unaware, Wii U Forums - The World's Largest Wii U Community has this amazing group known as "Guides". I'd like to thank Feld0 (admin & site owner of theWiiU) for allowing me to introduce this idea to the 3DSForums. (You should register there, right now!)

What is a Guide?
A Guide is a user who welcomes members to the forums and reminds them to read the forum rules. Guides are chosen role-models of the forums. This means they're active and very friendly users who follow and respect the forum rules. Additionally, users are able to ask Guides for help regarding the forum. However, technical issues should be taken up with an Administrator or Moderator.

It is strongly encouraged that your welcoming is very personalized. Read through the introduction, and reply showing interest towards the user and what they've written.

This will help create a positive atmosphere here at the 3DSForums, and create a great first impression of the forum to the new user.

Is a Guide some sort of Moderator?
Guides are not Moderators in anyway, Guides do not have any power. They're an example of the ideal member.

Can "Guidemanship" be taken away?
Yes, that is if you do not fulfill your responsibility. This includes being very in-active without notice, not welcoming new users, or breaking forum rules.

How do I apply?
All you have to do is leave a post here explaining why you want to be a Guide, and why you believe you're an ideal member. Your infraction and warning history have an impact on whether or not you'll be chosen.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them.

Now remember, as a guide you must...

• Be a role-model
• Follow the rules
• Welcome new users, also reminding them to read the rules

I obey the rules I would say, only had 1 infraction.... But I mean come on, it's from Baroque. But that was in those darker days

I'd like to be a guide. I feel that welcoming people is something I can do easily and with a positive attitude. People on here know me generally as the nice guy who tries to avoid confrontations and such. I think that it'd be the right fit for me.

I believe I would be perfect for this position. I'm already used to welcoming new people to the forums. I also let new people know if they are posting in the wrong forum, etc. I am also on here 24/7, so you don't have to worry about me being inactive. I also follow the rules, and have yet to receive an infraction.
