The Forum Games Trial Run

I've resisted allowing games on these forums because they inflate post counts and can descend into anarchy. Now, no threads or replies in this section count towards your post count, but there's still that risk of things turning sour.

If forum games are abused this section will be deleted. Do not make snide remarks or imply anything that's offensive (meaning racist, intolerant or otherwise). This is where you, as a community, have to remain mature and work together to prove to me that forum games can work.

as long as its on topic and junk

I'm okay with no extra post count; a lot of forums enforce that rule. Forum games are just for the fun anyway.

But that's the thing, people like increasing their post count and it devalues the purpose of a forum game (to have fun) if people are interested in just bumping up a number.

I like the idea of not adding post counts to forum games. While I could make a case for why Mafia and variations of Mafia should be an exception to the rule, it does not override the fact that the vast majority of forum games, while fun, are not logical and serve little purpose other then to have fun. So yeah, I can live with this.
