Alright, so I'm going to be importing two games from Japan for future reviews (and for my own personal enjoyment). One is for the GBA (Mother 1+2) and another is for the DS (Pokemon X Nobunaga's Ambition). Unfortunately, I don't understand any Japanese at all.

So, I need somebody's help. Is there some sort of device for the DS and/or the GBA that can translate from Japanese to English?

I don't think there's any device that lets you translate your games. In-game translations can only be done by modifying the game itself.

However, I think there's a possibility of finding translation guides on the web. Am I right?

There is no such thing as a magical tool that translates games automatically and you can't talk about GameSharks and the like on the forums. Your only option is to learn Japanese.

You would have to translate the entire game one word at a time or letter at a time because "A" can be both a letter and a complete word in either language. It would take months or even years to do that. If there was a tool that could do it automatically via patch or something similar I would be playing Ace Attorney Investigations 2 right now, but sadly I'm not . There is a fan translation project for AAI2 but it has been a few years and its still nowhere close to finished.
