I for one will be purchasing it launch day. I had some great times with ssx, ssx 3, and ssx on tour for the gamecube. Played well over a hundred hours on each. Anyway, really disappointed there is no skiing. I'm an avid freeskiier and it seems like they are ignoring a major demographic. Plus tricks look way cooler on skis. We'll see though, maybe through dlc.

Wasn't a fan of the skiing. SSX Tricky and 3 where my favorite, and it looks like this one will be just as good.

Really different, actually. The graphics are better, obviously, but more realistic. Instead of snow parks and cities like in the old games, these are actual mountains. Tricks are extremely different. There are 24 tricks you can do in the game with the dual analog or buttons. The game is really fast paced and it's hard to see what tricks you're doing. I suggest you try the demo out first, since some people don't like the new design. It's available on XBLA and PSN if you live in the US or UK. Not sure about other countries, though.
