Hello everyone. I was searching the net for Mario Kart 7 today and found this forum. It looks very nice so I decided to join.

I've been playing my 3DS a lot since launch day and despite having many hardware flaws, I like it a lot. Mario Kart 7 is by far my favorite game and the one I've been playing the most. I'm looking forward to finding some good opponents to race against here.

As for myself, I am nice, honest, rational, practical, always seeking the truth and I have a strong desire to improve. When it comes to video games in particular, I am the type of player who plays the game for what it is.

I live in the USA but I mostly buy and play Japanese versions of games, because I like having the original and best versions. I would definitely qualify as an otaku.

Yes, my 3DS is Japanese. I prefer Japanese games and also the Japanese language, so having a Japanese 3DS is best for me. I get to experience the original game, and not lose anything in translation or localization. 4 of my 3DS games aren't even available in the USA right now, so there's that too. Japan always gets the best stuff.

I have some interest in Shin Hikari Shinwa (New Kid Icarus) and Mario Tennis Open, but I haven't pre-ordered either because I am worried they may have DLC and/or not support worldwide netplay. I have a low bullsheet tolerance so I don't support things like DLC. If not getting the DLC means I can't play online or have a disadvantage, I won't bother with the game at all.

Nintendo aside, I am a retro gamer. Once Nintendo starts to thuck us over with DLC and such, I will have completely given up on all modern gaming. Sadly, that time seems right around the corner. Call me old fashioned, but I like actually owning my games and getting 100% of the game on day one.

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome. I've been here a few weeks now and I think this forum is pretty good. You just need to get rid of that embarrassing censor. I feel like an idiot when I have to go out of my way to use different words because people are ignorant about curse words.
