Default 3DS does nothing After formtting

Hello There,
i am here today For my son's Nintendo 3DS which i bricked... actually there was a problem with Zelda game.. every day messages appears that " Error press and hold power button" . i switched on and off game Several times but it did nothing then i brows on the internet about that problem and find out that format the system will do the trick so i format my son's 3DS. after formatting there is a Blank dim screen and i cant do any thing with it Please help My son is very desperate. and also i cant send this game to Nintendo customer services because i bought it from Ebay and i don't have proof of purchase which is required by them.

Thanks in Advance if you Guys can Help me.

That actually sounds weird. It's supposed to work normally after formatting your 3DS. Did you try to take off the battery then put it again? I'm not sure if this would fix it, but just give it a try.

So basically your system just gives you the black screen of death on boot? I've heard this is slightly common.

You may have to bring it in for repairs, if you are able to. The 3DS isn't like a computer where you can just pop in a CD and restore its software. If you can't access the software at all, you might not be able to fix it on your own.

I don't think there is an instant solution for this. If anyone knows one, that would be surprising.

Thanks for your reply..
actually the problem is i can't send it for repair because i bought it from Ebay and Nintendo customer services Requires a proof of purchase which is i don't have one and that's why i am looking for a solution here that is there any Flasher like sofware i plug in 3DS and install the sofware again....?

There isn't going to be any other way to repair it, only Nintendo will be able to reinstall the OS.
