1. Welcome!

--Welcome to the Nintendo 3DS Forums! You have made a wonderful choice to join this amazing site. If you have an account, I suggest you start by introducing yourself in the Introduce Yourself forum. If you don't have an account yet, make one! We have many warm-welcoming people here who would be glad to get to know you. Add something interesting, if you so desire.

--We here at Nintendo 3DS Forums encounter a lot of duplicate threads. Have a question about the Nintendo 3DS? We probably already have the answer to your question. You can find a list of FAQ's here, thanks to GwJumpan, or, if your question was not answered in the listed thread, ask the question in the Nintendo 3DS Q&A, also thanks to GwJumpman.

3. Get-to-Know Words/Phrases

AD: Want to know who Kurtiss is, or why Dan is so epic? Check out the User Dictionary, here.

Here is a list of words/phrases/abbreviations we will use on these forums:

5. How to Create a Thread

Press "show" to reveal more information about that particular step.

1. Think of interesting topic ideas

Whether it be funny, interesting, or informative, you may want to pick a topic that applies to most users. For example, starting a thread about "My toothpick" may not be as interesting as a "Kurtiss' 3D Videos!"

2. Search for duplicity

Who knows, maybe someone has already started a thread about Pokemon? Searching before you post helps us avoid duplicate threads. You can "revive" an old thread by posting what you were planning to say when making a new thread. Usually duplicate threads will be deleted by a moderator.

3. Follow the rules

Follow all the forum rules. Failure to follow these rules can lead to a warning, infraction, or ban.

4. Post in the correct category

Make sure you post your introductions in the Introductions forum, and anything related to the 3DS in the Nintendo 3DS forum. Everything else, put in the lounge. Read the forums descriptions to find out where to place your thread. Threads not in the correct category will be moved.

5. Use proper grammar [OPTIONAL, but wanted]

You are not required to earn a Doctorate in the English language before you can create a thread here, but conveying your ideas coherently helps other users understand clearly the intent of your post. Just try and get your point across comprehensibly.

6. Editing Your Profile

--Customizing your profile can be very fun and interesting! You can change your signature, avatar, options, contacts and much more.

--To edit your profile, you first need to press the "User CP" in the top left of any page, or alternately press here. While in the User Control Panel, look on the left hand column. You should see options categories such as: Your Profile, Networking, Settings and Options, Private Messages, Subscribed Threads, and Miscellaneous. From there, you can choose a subcategory to change a number of things about your profile.

nice, but if I may, I would suggest you add "AC (Animal Crossing)" to your 'Get-to-Know Words/Phrases' section, this is a term that I had trouble with
