hey, I'm new to this but want to say that I haven't had this much fun on a handheld since my GBA (haven't had a DS anything). also I'm kind of a forum newbie too :S but hey anyway

Welcome aboard, fellow Aussie. We're all 3DS addicts here, so you've come to the right place. And aren't you you for a treat... There are a bunch of fantastic must-play DS titles to tide you over 'til more 3DS games are released. I've had a DS since the original and I'm *still* working through my list. Too many awesome games, not enough time to play them! Have fun!

Depends on what genres of games you like, really. I'm a bit of an RPG/adventure game fan, so my personal favourites are Hotel Dusk: Room 215, Ghost Trick, Pokemon, and the Ace Attorney series.

But if those aren't your cup of tea, there are plenty of "Top <insert number here> DS Games" articles all over the web covering over 6 years worth of games. Go for your life.
