Hi all!

I'm guessing that like most folks joining in the last week or so, I received a 3DS for Christmas. This is my first handheld system since the ORIGINAL Gameboy... crazy! Mostly a PS3/PC gamer, but here 2 days after Christmas I find myself halfway through Ocarina of Time... what a great game, got it the day it came out on N64, and it's just as much fun all these years later!

Anyhoo, came here looking for insight and info on the latest and greatest the 3DS has to offer, while still looking to pick up some DS classics (again, never played a DS before). Currently have FF IV, Super Mario 64, GTA Chinatown Wars, and Professor Layton and the Unwound Future ordered and on the way.

Glad to be here and really enjoy this thing so far!

i'd recommend super mario 3d land. if you like mario at all, you're bound to love this. in my opinion, it's his best game since super mario world.

also mario kart 7 is great, especially if you can access the online features, which i'm assuming you can.

besides those two, you already own the other must have for the 3ds, but next year will be full of amazing titles.

Right you are, my friend. People have been joining the forums like crazy! Also, that's certainly an interesting surprise. As far as 3DS titles go I'd strongly recommend Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7. It seems you have some good DS games on the go currently, but let me tell ya it has a lot of great games. The ones I suggest you check out are any of the main Pokémon RPGs, Mario & Luigi, and the Castlevanias. Anyways, welcome to the forums! I hope you like it here!

Thanks for the welcomes! Yeah I was going to grab 3D land at bestbuy but they were out of stock. Going to check Gamestop tomorrow. Definitely want that game! After playing some Ocarina of time I got all nostalgic though and had to order SM64, ha! 2 Marios is better than one right?!

I'll have to check out Mario Kart 7. Thanks for all the recommendations!

Nintendogs and Pokemon Rumble Blast are also great games too.
