I'm 32, and a massive music game fan. Now that the scene has died down i find myself into portables way more than consoles, which brings me here. I've been a huge Nintendo fan (as well as Konami) my whole life, so hopefully I'll fit right in.

Thank you for the warm welcome Sepharos! I was wondering about all the presidents.

My favorite game series is, by far, Beatmania IIDX. Why? I love trance/techno and instead of dragging on and on the songs are short and to the point. Also with my piano background I find the gameplay to be so engrossing, I get sucked right in.

What genres do you enjoy then?

In the Bemani world each song has its own (usually made up) genre, so that's a tough call. Stuff like Bastard Pop and UFO Techno. But trance is always good nowadays

I still dabble with piano, but to be perfectly honest all the music gaming kinda hurt my skills

As long as it's not too heavy, like death metal. Konami's Guitar Freaks has a futuristic rock sound I just adore. There's actually not much I don't like.

Journey, Kansas, Big Headed Todd- that kinda stuff.

Welcome to the forums chemibro and it's nice to see somebody who's like beatmania IIDX and what style do u like the most? My favorite style is beatmania IIDX 6th style cause that mix had a lot of trance/pop/rave and eurobeat music.

Did u ever play keyboard mania or mambo a go go?
