Talking Finally joined the 3DS club

I've been lurking around this forum for some time now and I think the time has come for me to go ahead and open an account.

I have a question about the 3DS,the bottom and top screens scratching in particular.Even if the Nintendo handhelds are portable,I NEVER take them anywhere with me.I'm very protective when it comes to electronics. So I've been reading that people have been noticing scratched screens due to both of them touching when the system is closed, but I also read that they usually stick them in their pockets which could easily put pressure on the 3DS screens.

Would any of you still recommend me buying a screen protector?

I usually never bring mine with me anywhere in general and aren't really scratched at all, so I wouldn't say you have to.

First, welcome to the forums. Hope you like it here. Second, yeah. I recommend screen protectors. They're always good to have.

I never put my 3ds in my pockets and I still got the marks that could turn into scratches. Since then, what I do is I put a paper towel/tissue/cloth between the two screens when I close it, but I guess screen protectors would be more practical.

Welcome to the forums, and yeah screen protectors would be recommended if you're worried about scratches in the near future.

I personally use them on all my electronic devices. Depending on the game, I use my fingers on the touch screen 100% of the time (Zelda 3D). I like knowing that my $5.00 investment is preventing any noticeable scratches on the screen.

Thanks for the welcomes guys.

Think it's best to be on the safe side.I will be buying those screen protectors in the future. For now I'm using the that sheet that is placed between the screens when you first buy it.

Although I currently have no games at the moment,I'm excited to see all the different features the 3ds has to offer!

Welcome to the forums! Hello I'm Nedcone, and yes, I would advise buying screen protectors. Nintendo's cheap in their designs.
