Hey all.
I am now in the pub , using 'cloud' internet to update my new 3ds.

It is taking a long time - about 10 mins so far.
Is this normal? (I guess the connection isnt great here).

Also , I had real trouble connecting to the net last night - we have a virgin wifi box , and the 3ds picked up the connection point , but wouldnt complete the connection .
Is there a known problem with the virgin wifi boxes??

Final q if i may - can credi8t for the 3ds 'shop' be bought rather than creditcarded? ie can i buy a voucher like for itunes in a shop then credit it to my account??

1) I think it might be the connection that's causing the update to be slow.

2) I don't have any experience with wireless routers. You might want to try resetting it.

3) Yeah, you can buy 3DS eshop cards in various gaming stores. They look like this:

cloudnet's one of those things what are shared among many people.
It's normal for it to download slow.

I haven't seen anyone saying anything about virgin's modems not working with the 3DS, maybe check your settings match.

You can buy cash cards like itunes cards at most game stores in the UK and Ireland now. (15 and 25 euro versions here)

Welcome to the forum.

My advice: stick to drinking in the pub and play 3DS once you have sobered up.

There really shouldn't be a problem with a Virgin router, so I suggest an exciting session of manual reading.
