My name is Dana and my husband and I just purchased a Nintendo 3ds for our son. We have NO CLUE what it is or what he needs to operate it, except for games, lol!!! In my console package, came an AC wall charger, stylus, 6x AR cards and 2GB SD card. What else does he absolutely need?! PLEASE HELP! I WAITED TOO LONG TO SHOP AND NEED TO ORDER WHATEVER ELSE HE NEEDS TODAY! Thank you!

Have you tried reading the manual? That'll probably explain everything for you.

He doesn't need anything else, the ar cards are used in software thats on the system, it will pop up a character (mario/mii) and you do stuff with them.

Hard to explain, just google it. :P

open the 3ds system and point the system at the AR cards and a 3d images of the character will pop out in the screen

AR cards are cards that allow you to view video game charactres, to make them work, they should be placed on a flat surface and be about 12 inches away from the system camera, though it does not have to be exactly 12 inches
