Exclamation Incoming Newbie!

Hey everyone,

As you might have guessed, I'm new here. Introducing myself was never my strong suit, but here goes nothing!

My (screen) name is Thingamajig and I'm going to...um...give you a personal view of me? And I'm 13 years old... Yeah that sounds adequate enough, I think I'll move on now.

When I was a three-year-old, I was introduced to the world of gaming on the PlayStation1. I don't specifically remember how it came there, but I suspect my uncle had something to do with it, since he gave me a PlayStation2 later. My mum and I would play on it. I remember a couple of games like Tomb Raider and Aladdin, I think Toy Story too... I'm not much of a fan of Sony now, but hey, all kids make mistakes - don't they? I found out about Nintendo when I visited my cousin when I was about four-years-old. I think she was in high school at the time, because she gave me her Super Nintendo Entertainment System due to studies of some sort. And that's how it began.

She had two games on the console: Super Adventure Island and Super Mario All Stars, so technically - five games. I remember Super Adventure Island to be pretty frustrating but I absolutely loved All Stars. My favourite from the pick was Super Mario Bros. 3. Why? Because of the Raccoon power up!

But that was nine years ago. I'm thirteen years old now, and I've become a dedicated Nintendo fan. Although I don't have a 3DS yet, the reason behind this being my report...it kind of...failed (I worked for more than twenty hours on each individual assignment, but I didn’t hand in/do work that I thought was useless) there’s always next term, I suppose. But in a way, I’m glad I didn’t get the 3DS when I did, because after hearing how it:

. Scratches itself
. Closes during gameplay due to unequal weight
. Has loose hinges

Those are my main concerns with the system, and I hope that Nintendo fixes these design flaws (if they are design flaws, and not just excuses for free repairs).

My favourite gaming characters are:

. Sonic
. Kirby
. Mario
. Link
. Megaman

I don’t own many games, since they aren’t that affordable, so the list might grow.

Until the term is over, I’m going to have to resort to stalking the forums until I get my awesome console.

I like to listen to game remixes, and my favourite genre is probably Techno. I’m not good social-wise, since I have Asperger Syndrome (it hasn’t been confirmed yet, but I’m pretty positive I have it). My favourite subject at school is probably English or Humanities (geography excluded) and I’m 13 years old (8th grade). I’m pretty excited about some games coming out for the 3DS, namely:

. Super Smash Bros Brawl 3DS (I haven't tried it yet, but I sure as heck want to!)

. Kirby 3DS (Kirby is awesome, ‘nuff said)

. Mario Kart 3DS (I don’t have the original Mario Kart, so I might as well start 3D)

. Super Mario 3DS (this game looks a bit boring in my opinion, but you can never judge a game by its cover, and considering it isn’t released yet…yeah)

. Paper Mario 3DS (I’m not familiar with the series but I’m willing to give it a try if I don’t need to have played its predecessors for full enjoyment)

. Animal Crossing 3DS (this game looks a bit too easy/childish but I’ve heard good things about it so I’ll put it down anyway)

. Cave Story 3DS (I played the PC version and I’ve decided to support pixel in his 3D version, even if it isn’t completely his production)

. Sonic Generations (I’m a fan of the classic sonic games, so when I heard this was coming out – I was ecstatic)

. e-shop classics (when they get cheaper, is it just me or is everything 50% more expensive in Australia…)

I will definitely get this 3DS, because I've been contemplating on what I did wrong first semester round, and I'm going to improve myself! And if I get a report filled with As and Bs my parents have no other option but to bend down to my will and buy me my games.

And I guess that sums me up. I probably missed some major introduction points, but hey – it won’t matter too much…will it?
