| I've been a member of the 3DS forum for a couple of hours already, because I found the forum because one of its threads came up as a result of a google search. So my first priority was to answer that thread - well, first become a member, THEN answer the thread, then have a look around the forum, and finally introduce myself ![]() I'm Asfarn, I have a black 3DS, and I bought 2 additional games with it: - Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars - Sims 3 Before the 3DS, I never even considered wanting a console (handheld or otherwise), simply due to the fact that no games exist for consoles that would interest me. My main interests in games are: - Grand Strategy games (most Paradox Interactive titles) - Flight simulation (FSX) - RPG (Mass Effect / Dragon Age) - Sims With regard to no interesting games existing for consoles, I'd love to be proven wrong, by the way... So far, I really like GR:SW. But I'm still waiting for an "open" strategy game... Most strategy (most notably: RTS) games have you progress through a series of missions, and you can't continue with the game unless you "win" the current battle. In "open" strategy games (like the Paradox games, but also Total War), you may lose a battle, but you can still win the war (and even that is optional, as far as gameplay is concerned). Same goes for most other games I like. Either "winning" should be optional, or you should be free in how you achieve victory... |
