| Greetings from a soon to be 3DS owner here in the UK. I've ordered a North American 3DS even though I live here in the UK and hope to have it on Monday. It's already been sent by courier and is sitting in a DHL warehouse here in London. Being a big Nintendo fan and having all their consoles since the SNES including every version of the DS I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on a 3DS. Having found this forum through a google search and lurking for the last few days I have finally decided to register and become a member. I look forward to posting here and being part of this community as much as I can. |

The majority of consoles I have owned over the last 20 years have been American including my original DS and DS Lite. I actually lived in the US from 1990 to 2002. Also the 3DS is region locked so there would be no way to import games if I had a UK one. Nintendo has a habit of releasing many of their games earlier in the US then the UK. Some games never get released here especially some RPG's. Also it may sound trivial but I prefer the US game cases. Importing the games doesn't cost any more then buying them here. Even including delivery charges the 3DS with 2 games cost less then then it would here. All in all it just means I have to wait 3 to 4 days more before I get it. |
