Hello everybody!

I was able to snag the last Cosmo Black 3DS from Target the day before the 20 free games promo ended (at the 169 price!). Been loving the system ever since. To be honest, I got the 3DS only because of the price drop and a few games that caught my eye. At 250 it was a complete pass and I was looking forward to a Vita at that point, but 169 with 20 games is hard to pass up!

I'm 26, and have been playing games since the old NES. I've been reading some of the forums, and noticing quite a few people weren't even old enough to play the N64. Scary! Am I that old? I was a Nintendo guy through the GC, but the Wii was a disaster after the 2nd year of ownership. Games like Excitetruck were replaced by Wii Fit, and that was the end. However, finally with Nintendo's realization that casuals don't come back, the 3DS (and future Wii U) seem to be focused more on "older" players like me, and I'm happy to be back after focusing on Sony's consoles recently.

I have three games, currently. Zelda OOC, Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, and Ridge Racer. All three are great games in their own respect. OOC is a beautiful update, Street Fighter has been a favorite franchise for me since II and the 3D and online are a blast (provided you block Lite spammers), and Ridge Racer is just a simple time killer.

Personally, I hope to see more N64 remakes. It was the first console I bought with my own money, so it holds a special place in my heart. I couldn't afford a Sega Saturn back then, and by the time I had enough money ('98), the Saturn was gone. First N64 game was F-Zero X. Used to play it all the time, and it's one N64 game I hope they remake. Starfox 64 3D will be great and I'm looking forward to it. Life though would be complete with a Waverace 64 remake.

Sorry, but that makes me kinda angry. As a 15 year old kid who paid $260 for my 3DS all by myself... being an ambassador is a reward. I should've waited. But, you missed an incredible video. OK GO!

I know what you mean about more mature games!
Ocarina of Time is too hard for the minors, Resident Evil, Street Fighter! These are quite different from your Nintendo's My Little Pony etc etc

I went ahead and added you. It says "provisionally registered friend"... don't know when that changes. I love this system, but friend codes are the worst. I've been spoiled with Sony, haha. I found a fighter on SFIV who played like me and we had several matches that were a blast, but I couldn't add him as we had no means of talking or communicating, and his screen name didn't serve as a means of identification. Kinda sucked.

Yeah, after the last few miserable years of Wii, to see games like Starfox again is a miracle. I'm definitely enjoying Nintendo's new focus on games meant for the people who supported them all these years.


Ha. I've paid full price on so many consoles, it's about dang time I got one for a deal, so I have no guilt. Sorry about your view on it being a reward, but if I can get both, why not? Money isn't exactly floating around these days, so I'll take what I can get .

sigh, just be happy people are focking buying the thing.

i'd be way more pissed if i bought it at full price, there was no price drop and because of **** sales nintendo pulled the plug and no more 3ds games came out.

Welcome aboard. I sympathize with you, at 28 I feel at times like an old man yelling at kids to get off my lawn... But most of the kids around here aren't too bad, and there are plenty of old guard, some well older than us.
