Default Newbie with a question

Hi to all!

I'm not only a newbie to this forum, but a newbie to Nintendo in general.
I know, but go easy.
My kids have had systems since way back.

I'm actually a writer and am doing a write-up about the system.
In researching the 3DS, I found I'm actually pretty interested in it for myself and my husband. It sounds pretty cool!

Since I came across this forum, I figured you guys might be able to help me out with a question I have about it.

My question has to do with whether or not the 3DS is/has hands-free capabilities. I don't know if the motion sensor and gyro sensor have anything to do with that, but if anyone can help me, I'd appreciated it enormously.

Thanks very much.

Hi! I think David could put all the information we have herd or had predictions about in a bundled e-mail We actually don't have much info on the sensors. Also , if your a writer why wouldn't you start with a simple Google search?

I've actually been searching since last evening.
Since there isn't a lot of obvious info out there in
Google-land about the 3ds being considered hands-free,
I hoped the forum members here might since you all
seem to be pretty in-the-know. I've done a search
here as well. All good writers know to ask the experts.

Any info would be super!

You can post 1 feature and we will all spit out answers like no tomorrow also i reported this thread as abusive but just to get the admins attention.

Also , if this if for a report in the paper , you should give us credit lets say the 3ds can walk up and flip and land on its face , -Hayden on 3ds forums.com

I'm confused by what is meant by hands-free. Do they mean you can just talk to it and operate the user interface, like with phones? I don't understand what purpose that would serve...

If by hands free you mean without the use of hands, then of course not. I know you are a n00b, but no video game system that is popular does not require hands. Hands are the easiest part of the body to control things with.

I think she's referring to hands-free as in no direct contact with the hardware, like the Kinect (and while it may hurt to hear it, the Kinect is doing really well sales-wise).

Wouldn't using you hands require making contact with the hardware?
