Nintendogs + cats is pretty good, but If I were you I would get Super Street Figther (If you like fighting games).

Friend Codes? Each 3DS has one. If you want to befriend someone, then you register their friend code in your 3DS. However, they only become your friend if they register them back.

Super Street Fighter is about....well....street fighting. You basically fight people to unlock content. You can also fight online too. If you like Mortal Kombat, then I would recommend it.
