Well, if you read the biography of Steve Jobs you also get some interesting insights in how (dis)organized Sony is as an organization.

They're a juggernaut and looking at the figures they seem to be doing fine again, so all they need is, indeed, a new hit product.

And I think Sony will be ok. The ps3 is really starting to profit now, but they do need a way to get the vita on track. E3 is going to be big though with how they have 3 different systems to now handle at once.

Sony does need a hit... it used to have them quite often, it's been a damn while.

Don't get too ahead of yourself, nothing has been confirmed yet. Announcing the PS4 now means they'll trivialize all the effort that went into making the PS3 affordable and profitable.

Still, it's shocking that the electronics and especially the gaming division (Cough, PS3) have been the major reasons why Sony is bleeding money left and right.

I honestly don't think Twisted Metal will be the hit they are looking for. I kind of thought that was Uncharted 3.

Twisted Metal HAD a huge following. People like me who grew up loving it are still around, but I'd say a majority of gamers now might be too young to have appreciated them like I did. So the question is, can Twisted Metal win over a generation that has little experience with it? This remains to be the question.

Yeah that's what I meant. I havent seen any gameplay but I'm willing to bet people are itching for something that is online, competitive, violent, and original(though we grew up loving it lots have never experienced Twisted Metal) I'm sure this will catch on with the noobs. Mortal Kombat 9 was huge because it was new and fresh to all those who's first or second console was a ps3 and 360. You know what I'm trying to say?
