Arrow [Tutorial] How to play your favourite games in 3D!

R U READY OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG K LET'S DO THIS

LIKE THIS POST.

Here is my video tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSIMW2VNZ4U

Are you bored of playing your games in BORING 2D!?
Let's play them in 3D.

Note: This works with all games that use Directx 8.0 and up. (And OpenGL QuadBuffer if your graphic card supports it)

Note2: Images are hidden in spoilers, press Show to... show them.

How to play your games in 3D:

1. Download iz3D here: iZ3D Driver Download Page - iZ3D Drivers and Software for Stereoscopic 3D - iZ3D
2. Install the driver, be sure to choose "Full Installation" when prompted.
3. Open iz3D Control Center (Should be on your desktop or in your Start Menu)
4. Here you can choose your method. For now, choose Anaglyph (even if you don't have the glasses)
Spoiler!

5. Press 'Apply'.
6. Now open your game. For this tutorial I will be using Ocarina of Time as an example.
7. When the game is loaded press '*' on the number pad to activate 3D.
(If you have an annoying wizard come up when you load your game
press shift+* to close it, you can disable it in the control center or press 'C' when it
comes up to disable it)
8. The first thing you'll want to do is make a large separation.
You can increase the separation by pressing + on the number pad. ('-' to decrease) IMAGE
9. The next thing is to set a good convergence. This depends on your preferences and the type of game you are playing. The convergence is where the images converge. (To increase/decrease convergence press 'shift' + '+' or 'shift' + '-').

- Here's an example of convergence. See where the bridges hit each other?
Spoiler!

- Everything behind the convergence (behind the yellow line I've drawn there) will pop-out and everything in-front of it will add the sense of depth.
Spoiler!

- There are 3 main methods of 3D. Pop-out 3D, Depth 3D, or Pop-out + Depth 3D.

- Pop-out only is where you have the convergence all the way in the background.
Spoiler!

- Depth Only is where the convergence is put very close to the screen.
Spoiler!

- And my favourite, Pop out + depth 3D. This is where the convergence is set
in the middle of the game world. Usually a bit closer to the screen
for a much better 3D effect.
Spoiler!

10. When we have set the convergence to our liking we can lower the separation and see how it looks. (Make sure there's no blurriness, ghosting, etc)
Spoiler!

11. If everything is looking good then congratulations! You win!

Tip: Other methods may be difficult to find a good convergence.
Use anaglyph mode first to find a good convergence then exit the game,
switch to your preferred method, and load the game up again.
(Settings are automatically saved).

Love...

Hmm, which plugin was it? Try using another graphic plugin, just google "mupen graphic plugins".

I've gotten it to work with Mupen before but I forget which exact plugin I was using.

Also, with P64, the graphic emulation for some games becomes crappy while using the 3D.

Yeah, for some games the graphics can become corrupted. But usually in Gamecube/Wii games it's fine. In games made for PC usually there is absolutely no problems at all.
