Nintendo 3DS vs Playstation Vita, this handheld war is a little different this time considering both hand-helds are the same price at $250 dollars and the Playstation Vita is clearly the technological power house. It's true that the $250 dollar Playstation Vita doesn't have 3G, but other than not having 3D and two screens, it looks like it has an advantage in quality games and content coming out at right at the release of the console like Uncharted. What do you think? Obviously the 3DS is not down and out, but if the great games don't come out in a timely manner, well..... Sony could take over.

I`m in japan right now and all I can say is that everyone got a PSP. I`m actually starting to think that the 3DS is a failure... Lol... Everyone seems to want the VITA too.

I do not think it will be a failure but it will not sell as well as the DS did for one matter theres no games out there yet and there rather spaced out the good ones to be released lol

They're both great, I don't see why one would do better than the other.

Nah. The 3DS is gonna do fine. The Nintendo DS also had a horrible launch and was also the weaker system tech-wise. And i'm sure Nintendo can squeeze out a price drop sometime in the near future that will make the 3DS look much more appealing.

Could be wrong but I think the DS lite is still outselling the 3DS so... lol

I don't think the 3DS is in serious trouble, but this handheld generation will surely be interesting. Here are some points I'd like to bring up:

-Nintendo has been the champion of handhelds for years and no one has come close to taking their throne, other than Sony who managed to take a large part of the market.
-Vita has more features than the 3DS.
-Vita is more powerful than the 3DS.
-3DS is more likely to be confused as a DS, than Vita is to be confused as a PSP
-Vita has a strong launch line-up and 3rd party support
-3DS has alot of strong first-party games, but they're spread out to avoid game droughts.

Yeah PSP sales are under the 3DS, but the PSP is last gen. You would have to be blind to think that the Vita won't change the market up when it launches. Not drastically, but large enough.
