Wasn't 4D like weather effects ( the feel dimension ).

As you are clearly able to feel objects with this screen on a natural way ( as they stated ) wouldn't that mean 4D is there now?

As nintendo is going with a controller and touchscreen, would it be possible that wii is going to have 4D? wii2?

The technology from the dude is really early for what it looks like in 2009, but thats like 2 years ago.

Could be that 3D screen doesn't really work with that touchscreen tho. that nintendo ditched it for there handheld. but who knowns :P

Oh 4D means 3D with physical effects. They showed a 4D movie at a theme park and it was 3D with slime and nasty smells hitting the audience.

Calling this tech "4d" is a misnomer. We don't have technology that can display 4d...yet. But you can guarantee that when we do, it will be mind blowing.

With 4D i mean basically not what he mentions. but the feel section.

For movies 4D = going to be the feel dimension.

There are already 4D cinema's for example.

4D has many different meanings.

1 says its time
1 says its the feeling aspect
another person says its different layers of 3th dimensions like that video etc.

You could even link them all together.

That video made perfectly sense tho, but i actually do think that he's thinking to easily about 4th dimension as a 3,5 dimension.

The whole point about that dimension is that we are unable to realize it just as 2d figures cant realize a 3th dimension, as its litterly impossible for them to realise such a huge amount of factors that have absolute nothing to do with anything they do.

what he's doing he's trying to talk about a mroe advanced 3D dimension space.

If there is a 4th dimension, it doesn't matter at all. as we wont be ever able to realize how it would function or how it could function. Let alone think about replicating it and use it for technology to make stuff in 4D that doesn't make absolute any sense to us at all.

On the other end, its good possible that we all already use the 4th dimension, but we simple do not seem to realize it or forgot to specially give it a name. and this is where people come up with things like its the "feeling aspect" or "timeline" thats called the next dimension or even both or they are even just minor parts of the complete package.

But i actually do think that all those dimensions like time and feeling = still a part of the 3th dimension ) and all those things that they try to find the 4th dimension are not going to pass the 3th dimension. Or are absolute wrong on the subject as they are just wanting to make more sense out of the 3th dimension. ( much like this video )

it would make sense for a 2D > 3D creature or human thats able to realize a 3D. But its far off if you wanna figure out a 4th space. its like the same as a 2D creature or human is going to try to figure out the 3D dimension, what you get is just more of 2D but on a different way, that doesn't even remotely links towards a 3D space at all.

I think we are in the same boat. Even with all the "we can bend 3D this way to it looks different it much be 4D then. But thats never going to be near what the 4th dimension is going to be.

Its even good possible, that the whole 4th dimension doesn't exist at all. Of that the 4th dimension that we think thats the 4th is actually still related towards our dimension or even a older one.

so at the end, everything that is marketed as a 4th dimension is in my opinion a 3th dimension. but it only indicates towards the public that a totally new thing has arrived. for technology products its the feel dimension from a reality that isn't real. Makes for me personally perfectly sense as a 4th dimension on technology.

If it was possible (which I don't believe it will ever be) I think all viewers would die of shock. It would be like being blind for 50 years and then seeing.

Also. Einstein says that the time is a dimension. This makes since sense (like the video) there are an infinite amount of frames for the same 3D universe (every fraction of a second). Of course... you could also have time for a 2D plane. I assume that there are different types of "dimensions" and there is no particular order. A 4D movie could be done in many ways.
