Exclamation Adapter? PLease help!

OK, so my friend says you shouldn't plug the 3ds adapter into the 3ds itself.

He says that if you do it will make your battery power short.

He also said that his brother (or some relative) got his laptops battery power really short!

So I was wondering if the adapter will actually do that to my 3ds.
Thx.

Your friend is full of sh*t.

I THINK what he's referring to is some distorted version of the old "the more times you charge your device, the less time your battery gets."

This had something to do with either Lithium Cadmium or Lithium Nickel batteries. I BELIEVE that the 3DS has the newer Lithium batteries that don't get reduced battery life with more charges, so his statement is null.

Default Ocarina of Time rulez

Charging the system without the cradle gives the exact same result. Absolutely nothing to worry about.

Wasnt that Nickel Cadmium and Nickel Metal Hydride batteries that had that problem? NiCad and NiMH. I could be wrong, but I thought it wasnt lithium that had the memory problems.

I'm not too sure about it. I only briefly heard about it in a thread regarding battery life a few months back. You're probably right.
