Question Anybody Else Doing Nothing for New Years?

This is the second year in a row that I'll be in my own house (most likely by myself) doing absolutely nothing for New Years. It's not that I can't hang out with other people, it's just that 99% of them will be getting drunk and I myself don't drink, and yet I feel like somewhat of a loser. Please tell me I'm not the only one who is like this. xD

I'm going to see ghost protocol again with some friends and maybe get something to eat after, that's pretty much it. Yea, but I don't drink either, so you're not alone there.

Meh, I'll be eating dinner with my family, but then it's just a normal night afterwards.

I actually WANTED to be doing absolutely nothing. I wanted to spend it in my apartment quietly soaking in the end of this year and ringing in the new year my own way. But nope. Not gonna happen. Everyone wants me to do things with them, they want me to go buy alcohol and party! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that feels this way too. Maybe I've just "out grown" parties or maybe I haven't been to a good one in a while, but I really don't feel up to it.

That's kind of what you're supposed to when you grow up, but unfortunately too many people just stay with that for way too long.

Then it starts to make you feel lame because everyone around you is doing that. I mean I JUST turned 21 an I'm already tired. Idk maybe it's an internal issue and maybe I am super lame. I just don't enjoy becoming this sloppy mess that seems to validate bad decisions and is glorified. I don't get it.

I have a New Year's Eve Family Party with plenty of spaghetti, shrimp, buffalo wings, artichoke dip, and sandwiches.

Today's gonna be a fun New Year's Eve for me.

I'm gonna do the same thing I do every New Year's Eve: Drink myself a fifth of Jack, put the ol' glock to my head, and chicken out at the last second. Then i'll just cry myself to sleep. Happy new year. :/

Just kidding. I'll probably watch some of the Twilight Zone marathon on Syfy and then watch the ball drop on TV at midnight.

I'm doing the same thing I do every year, sit in my house and wait until everyone shuts up about New Years so I can peacefully watch my Honeymooners marathon.

I hear ya. I did that last night. And the night before. And the night before. And the night before......

Good times.

Anyway, I'll probably just chill out at home with my wife, have some munchies, a few drinks, and watch the ball drop. Used to be, I would have a nice big party and all that. Then, I moved to Oregon and got married. Life as I knew it was over.

It's not so bad, though. At least I'll spend the day hanging out and working through Skyward Sword (after 60 hours, finally getting pretty close to the end; man oh man, what a great game!). Then, tomorrow, I'm going to a Christmas tree bonfire party.
