Default Is anyone else scared

To begin I'd like to say I personally do not believe this "Wii 2" surplus of leaks in the least bit. Why would a company that would keep a secret about a remake till the remake releases, allow leaks like this? Wouldn't these sources get fired? As for my main point, the last time Nintendo created a system "tailored to Harcorezz" we got the Gamecube, which put Nintendo near their defeat. I never want to see Nintendo that close to dropping out of the game market again, the day Nintendo drops out of the video game business is the day I stop playing games. And on another note I've heard people liken this mythical console to that of Dreamcast and while I had some good child-hood times with the Dreamcast, the Dreamcast was the final nail in the coffin of Sega's investment in the console business. Bottom line I fear that Nintendo could be looking at their doom.

Nintendo could have 3 failing consoles in a row and probably still be in the black.

Plus, they've learned a LOT about how the market operates since the Gamecube. I wouldn't worry much at all.

Nintendo has been showing it off to third parties for support. That's where the leaks come from, I guarantee it.

Gamecube didn't tailor to the hardcore, it was just Nintendo's failed attempt at doing so. What you should hope for is a genuine effort from them that doesn't fail horribly, while they try to mature the new casual gamer at the same time.

And as I said before, there simply isn't this much smoke without there being a fire. Project Cafe, in some form, is real, whether you believe it or not.

QFT. Especially the bold part.

I believe they'll be fine with this console, as long as it's on par with the PS3, 3rd parties can take care of the "hardcore" games easy. While Nintendo themselves can work on their usual casual stuff (bleh) and the occasionally hardcore game. I'm excited about this move honestly, this could really put them on top...I want my Nintendo system to stop collecting dust damn it!

Anticipation. It's a feeling that companies take advantage of to get more buyers. More excitement and publicity = more buyers. Remember! It's all about marketing!

There hasnt been much info leaked at all. And if it has backwards compatibility with Wii, then it still caters to the "waggle" lovers.

This new system isnt going to be a Wii "upgrade." It will be a totally new system a la DS---3DS Wii----whatever this on is to be called.

Also, making it more powerful than the 360 and PS3 pretty much means that it will be about their level. That means it will be able to get GOOD multiconsole releases the same time as the 360 and PS3.

This will be a GOOD thing.

Now instead of complaining about something we almost know NOTHING about... just speculate until the supposed reveal at e3 in June!

Problem is, if Nintendo dosen't reveal the next console at E3 then no matter how good E3 is people will still complain and moan about how "Nintendo didn't keep their promise" or some other thing like that even though Nintendo hasn't promised anything. Honestly I'm not getting my hopes up. On a another if the next Nintendo console is "significantly more powerfull than the 360 and PS3" then its pay back time to those people who teased us Nintendo fans for having a "suckish low-tech console".

The sources say we should expect a pre-announcement this month, similar to what we saw for the 3DS. If that doesn't pan out, then healthy skepticism should kick in and we won't expect much from Nintendo at E3.
