Default Aprils Fools Nintendo-related News...
Since April 1st is about to leave us, did anybody spot any good Aprils Fools news out there today?

Here are a few...

Miyamoto Resigns from Nintendo To Pursue Music Career

Head-Cooling Patch for Nauseated 3DS Players Now on Sale

The Legend of Zelda Special Edition 3DS Announced

The Legend of Zelda Remake in Development at From Software

Mega Man Legends 3 Cancelled; Capcom Announce Mega Man Reboot In Development at Activision’s Sledgehammer Studio

Finally! Some good April Fools jokes! I had heard (well, read) someone mention the Miyamoto resigns joke, and I had seen that Zelda edition 3DS on another website (Kotaku I think (I wish it was real so bad!)). These jokes were great. I had begun to lose faith in this years April Fools day.

Sorry, but I didn't find many video game related April Fools pranks (not any good ones anyway). On an unrelated note, there was a semi-funny Harry Potter related prank on IGN.

The Miyamoto story is actually mine (I am Sean Foster, I own Retro Kix and GCN) so thanks for the compliment... I just got tired of the same "Miyamoto leaves Nintendo to go to Microsoft or Sony" yearly stories.. So I made it a point to squeeze Miyamoto, Zamfir, Yanni and John Tesh into a single story.

Miyamota can be a bit excentric, so I can actually see him doing something like that. But then he would be back after a year with a new music or rythem game.

LOL... OK kid, lets see a 60+ hours week, write articles and meet deadlines and then come up with one then... At least some people are continuing the tradition...

Yeah, and in France, April Fools is called poisson d'avril.

Some copypasta about the tradition in France:

'Today in France, those who are fooled on April 1 are called the “Poisson d’Avril” (the April Fish). A common prank (especially among school-aged children) is to place a paper fish on the back of an unsuspecting person. When the paper fish is discovered, the victim is declared a “Poisson d’Avril.”'

That may be the best tradition ever.
