This is the official Battlefield 3 Thread for building your anticipation for the game.

Some little facts.

• Commander(From Battlefield 2) Is out
• Mod tools for pc are unlikely
• Console versions will use every bit of the consoles power(But will not be as good as pc)
• 64 Players for PC. 24 for consoles(Due to consoles parts being to old)

• Maps on console will be just a bit smaller(Because of 24 players)
• Huge maps on any platform

• It will have Blood

• • It will not be compatable with DX9(Pc thing)
• Selectable grenades are likely

• It will have Single Player, Co-Op and Multiplayer

• It will have prone

• Almost everything can be destroyed

• Mount your weapon anywhere

• Beta will most likely be in the Summer with a Fall Release

• Kill Cam

• Most likely M-rated

• Dedicated Servers

• M4, M16A4 AK-74/AK-101, M240 PKM,G3, RPG-7 and the AT-4 are weapons from the 12 minutes we've seen

• LAV-25 M1A2 Humvee UH-1Y* SU-37/SU-34 Blackhawk F-16/F-18/F-22 and MH-6 Little Bird M1117 (ASV) are the vechiles(spelling) we've seen in the 12 minutes

Console version not even gonna look close buddy n its not even gonna sell 35% of what Modern Warfare 3's is.Also multiplayer isn't gonna look like single player,I'll get to try it out tho.

now think about the handheld vs console
it'll be fun to shoot people online on the 3DS but i dont know about you but PC is where its at for BF3

think about it this way, why not play a game thats truly MEANT to be played on
the system you use, not a cheap, half-assed knock off for people that like to play
games that use the same name as a popular shooter.
i'm looking at you Call of Duty on NDS.

Just becuase its good on one system doesn't mean its universal.

its not a bad thing that they made a call of duty for ds there was *some
enjoyable multilayer but it doesn't have any of the polish that made it into
the casual beast of a franchise that it is now

people LOVE to unlock guns and they LOVE to unlock achivements. (if i remember correctly there were about 8-10 guns total)
it had no lasting appeal to me and the friends list doesn't help >.<

did anyone else play Project Reality mod in Battlefield2? I'd really love to see something like that on handheld.
of course there's no way to have that kind of scale and good communication is nearly non-existent in portable gaming.
maybe in about 10 years right?
