What would be a good adhesive paper for skins? I might make a custom one...

I'm curious about this, too--I'd like to put my cat's eyes on my 3DS.

In the past, I've used transparent contact paper (like what you put on kitchen shelves) to cover a table with pictures, drawings, and cartoons. That seems a bit "industrial" for my 3DS, though.

I did a google search yesterday and found several companies who will make a custom skin out of any picture, cutting out holes for the cameras and everything. Unfortunately, they're $30+ dollars, and I'm not sure I trust a random site.

I also found a few sites selling unprinted decal material, both static cling type (those removable stickers you put inside your car window) and adhesive type. If someone else has already tried similar stuff, I'd love to hear how well it worked.
