Default BREAKING: Best Buy selling Wiis for $170 right now
So it became true after all. All those rumors about Wii prices falling...became true. Source here. Does that also mean that Wii HD is true? We'll just have to be patient and wait.

So the Wii is on sale at Best Buy and is rumored to be getting a price drop to $149. Wii sales have slowed and it's due for a price drop. Whether the Wii HD is announced at E3 or not, I don't see how this proves anything.

meh even if i didnt have a wii already i wouldnt buy it, i mean the only game ive heard coming out is conduit 2 and legend of zelda

We're definitely going to see a new console announced at E3, or sooner. There is no way Nintendo would have allowed all the hype that's occurring now if there wasn't a climactic end in sight. There will be an announcement, and Wii is definitely getting a price drop.

Sorry danzego of you read my last post before I deleted it. You said "due for a price drop" and I thought it said "due to a price drop" for a second.

Since the market is pretty much saturated with Wiis this price drop may not spur that many sales. I for one am happy with the unit I have.
