Default Ces 2012

So what have you been interested in that has been shown or has been rumored to be shown?

For me, it's
Xperia Ion and Xperia S (they are both similar phones, both made by Sony rather than Sony Ericsson)

The lg tv that has 4K resolution that has an oled screen

The HTC Edge which is supposed to be the world's first phone with a quad core processor (supposedly the Tegra 3) this hasn't been shown yet though.

I'm interested in the 4K resolution myself. Might be a while until it becomes affordable, though.

Well I'm impressed with what ASUS and NVIDIA showed off.

The Transformer tablet series is going to get a little brother. They announced a 7" tablet with a NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset. That's a Quad Core 7 inch tablet. With Ice Cream Sandwich (the latest version of the Android Operating System) for a $250 price tag. That's the same price as the Barnes and Noble Nook Tablet which is running a gimped skinned version of Gingerbread (two Android versions ago) and about a fraction of the power.

This is incredible. I am thankful for the Fire and the Nook for offering competition in the market to drive down prices... but wow this Tablet spanks those in every conceivable category. I don't think I'll get one, but I am sorely tempted, and I would suggest that anyone considering a Nook or a Fire skip them and go straight to this.

Also they showed off a new version of the Transformer Prime, with a better resolution and new case (the old one could cause GPS to go wonky). I was already strongly considering picking up a Prime, I might wait till this one hits the market though.

Edit: and Rent reminded me
Spoiler!

I forgot about that. The kindle fire made me think about possibly getting a tablet, then I learned how stripped it was not even having the market. A tablet running the latest OS with a quad core processor and having the market would be amazing for $250.

The show is wrapping up but I'm still digging through all the things shown there. So many neat toys.

Gentlemen the future is now. Samsung has made window computers. Not Windows computers... I mean window look through at something outside displays.
