Exclamation Cure to the black screen of death!

OK so I was playing SWC today and it just... well the black screen of death!
So I found out a cure!
1. Remove the game card,
2. It will say: game card removed, ETC.
3. Push the home button and wait...
4. There! It should go to the home menu and your out of the black screen of death!

Where's the cure? Curing generally (as in always) means that something is going be stopped.

My point is, it doesn't fix anything, even temporarily. All it is is a way to restart the system after getting a black screen.

Yep. I got it while using Mii Maker, of all things. Of course, that also means that the method mentioned in this thread wouldn't work since pulling the game cartridge wouldn't do anything.
