Default developers take note..... Wii's best

this is the way a Wii game should be developed. this is the style games should have taken to take use of the hardware. i know project cafe is on the verge on coming out next year but i truly am disappointed as someone who brought the Wii on launch day. i feel like the Wii never reach a PEAK in graphics and what it could do. a lot of gamers and developers have said over the years there is no way to display realistic graphics on the Wii. well i say this style works... the dark gritty.... rpgish style. what do you guys think????

Personally, I think that both the style and gameplay of Pandora's Tower looks generic and unappealing. Which is a shame, because I was hoping for a lot out of a new Nintendo IP.

doesn't work for me this style, looks like a old already done concept + art + game. Looks like a ps2 area final fantasy, but without the charm.

I'd say Project Sora, Retro Studios, and Team Ninja all did it right. Sora's technique was a sort of soft gradient shading method that both emulated greater detail and really brought out the feeling of SSBB. Retro and Team Ninja focused on detail, but sacrificed just enough to give it a very impressive frame rate, and compensated for that with beautiful lighting and reflections, which worked very well with the Metroid universe if you ask me. Keep in mind, however, that Retro and Sora are 1st Party developers, and Team Ninja is an exceptionally good 3rd party developer.

As for Pandora's Tower, the art style looks somewhat similar to Twilight Princess, but with much less weighted physics/movement, though a little generic as SRT stated. Some of the textures in the game also seem to be a bit sub-par, but they're probably not that noticeable when playing the game. Be that as it may, the game looks pretty nice, especially for a 3rd (2nd?) party title.

looks like a ps2 game. not for me these kinda of games, maybe a fantastic story though but gameplay is a big no.

its not even an classed area of final fantasy, more towards the area of Devil May Cry..

gameplay style: 4/10
graphics: 6/10

just my imo.... but it has potential.

Geez, it's Nintendo's own console, you would've thought that they'd make a game that truly pushes the Wii's graphical power to the limit by now...
