I've recently started a video diary where I recite the date and time and then go on and talk about what's bothering me, or my future ambitions, or what's just happening in the world. I know this is a different method of expressing yourself compared to the journal diary, but I find it very therapeutic to just talk to a video camera instead. Does anyone else in some way or another have what you would consider a diary?

I don't write a lot about future ambitions, but of the things I observe and how they interest me.

I keep a dream diary at least. Unfortunately, I don't seem to dream when it's nearby, so I don't have anything written in it.

Also I'm paranoid about somebody reading it so I probably wouldn't use it anyway.

I used to type a daily diary but it got baleeted by a virus .

I think that most people nowadays write their diaries in the form of very vague ranting on facebook and twitter

I have had a diary since I was about 8 years old. I wrote in it from time to time. It's really cute with bad grammar, cute phrases and drawings... until I hit puberty and filled it with embarrassing stuff.

I actually cut all pages from 2003 and onwards out from it this morning, deleting all embarassing stuff and only keeping the cute child stuff. xD (barely anything of the book is left now...)

I have a journal, to many people try to sabotage and steal it though.

See, this is why I wish I knew offhand some kind of simple cipher, so I could write in that and not have to worry about people understanding it.

What's the point of writing about your problems for yourself when you can anonymously rant about your problems to the internet?

Who writes their feelings down on a diary anymore? That's so 70's.

Why record yourself if your not going to watch yourself in the future.
