EA continues to devlove into digital download game outlet
if you cant beat them - why not buy them - and then buy their competitior - lol Report: PopCap buyer is EA - Edge Magazine PopCap was in talks over a $1 billion acquisition last night, and has since been told by two sources that the prospective buyer is Electronic Arts, and that talks are at a late stage. This would be a risky move for EA - the purchase price would be 13 per cent of its $7.49 billion stock market valuation - but not inconceivable given PopCap's success relative to that of Playfish, which EA acquired in 2009 for $400 million.
ea, how far you have fallen - some thi9nk, including barkis - these casual cheapo games are currently overinvested, will this play out for ea??
either way ea is in full retreat form console gaming, so i guess it dont matter to me much either way.
the biggest loser this gen was no doubt sony, but ea had been number 2....and i think they are linked. why buy an ea sports game for your wii like you did with ps2 when nintendo had so many better/more interesting/ more original and fresh games on wii????
of course it did not help ea botched their motion in many games - cough madden cough - takes more than an 'all play' sticker to convince the masses - wii sports kinda did that like way better
