| I was on the computer watching a video on youtube, when it sounded as if cows were going by. I thought my headphones were acting up, so I pulled them off. And for the life of me, I can't tell you how scared I was. The house began shaking, and it felt like the four giants from Majora's Mask had decided my house was the moon. Everything on my computer desk crashed down on me, and I was home by myself. I feel like this is probably worst case scenario ( not really ) Because I did nothing that people tell you to do when an earthquake happens. I didn't go outside, didn't get into a doorway, got near a window, and didn't turn off my gas lines ( didn't need to ). But as stupid as it sounds now that it's over with, everyone around here thinks that we are going to have even more after shocks. So far I have felt ten aftershocks. Each one kind of declining after another. But since I live practically ten miles from the epicenter, I was scared beyond belief. So that's my story. What's yours? |

| I was upstairs, in my room, on my 3DS. At first I thought it was my brothers jumping on the sofa or something. |

I found these pictures on my journey through the interwebs: ![]() ![]() Also, my aunt lives about 40 minutes from the where the epicenter was. She's from a place where the only natural disaster she ever experienced was a hurricane so she was pretty freaked out. |

I was on the second floor in a library when it happened. Some guy started shouting "Earthquake!!!" when it was happening, but nothing serious happened so we all started laughing about it. At first I thought it was construction equipment moving by, so I didn't think much about it. |

I was in my bed sleeping, and a weird (mild) shaking woke me up. I was really frightened and couldn't move because I thought a ghost had chosen my bed to creep in. Eventually, I convinced myself it was my heartbeat doing it, and actually tried to feel my heartbeat at my chest to compare to the shaking (which only lasted 10 seconds). I'm in Toronto, ON so it wasn't bad here, just a small quake. I checked Facebook 10 minutes later, and it seems like I've experienced my second earthquake (first was last June).

I was eating lunch, munching on potato chips. Ground starts shaking, I am thinking "Hmm that's odd" and continued eating chips. Then getting ready to bite on a chip, the bag falls on the ground. And I stayed in that position with the chip right next to my mouth until it ended.

I don't think I felt anything. I was listening to a bass heavy song though, so that could have masked some vibrations..
