| Directions: 1. Place a pokemon in the Daycare (it's on route 3 next to a preschool.) 2. Go to Nimbasa City and enter that subway place (I think it's called the Battle Subway, I'm not sure). 3. Go all the way to the outer ring, then go in towards the center of the ring just by 1 block. Now you should be on the 2nd-to-largest ring. 4. Now what you need to do is get some tape. Duct tape doesn't work well, but I find that using the blue tape used for painting walls works fine. You can also use clear tape. 5. Tape down the down button on the d-pad OR the up button on the d-pad. Then tape down the B button as well. 6. If you did this correctly, you should be RUNNING (not walking) in circles without bumping into anything. I think there might be a possibility that you can bump into the people who randomly walk around, but that hasn't happened to me. 7. Make sure you plug your charging cable into your DS/DSi/3DS, so you don't have the DS die on you. 8. Do something else for a few hours/leave it like that for the night. 9. When you're ready, remove the tape and go back to the Daycare. 10. Your pokemon should be a higher level than before. I'll explain this as best as can. Since your pokemon gets 1 exp in the daycare for every step you take, running around in circles infinitely for HOURS gives TONS of exp, depending on how long you do it for. If you're doing this during the day, you could check on it every once in a while to make sure it's still going, but this is optional. It might save energy if you turn your brightness down all the way, but I'm not sure. I found this method on youtube, so credit to whoever made the video. I'm currently using it to level up my lv38 deino to lv64 so he turns into a Hydreigon (which is one of the coolest pokemon of them all)If you don't understand the directions, I'm happy to help you. I would also like to say that I'm not a cheater who is lazy and hates training his pokemon, I just think that for some the pokemon that are really REALLY hard to level up (like Deino) at certain parts of the game can be leveled up fast using this method, saving time and grief for the player. So yeah, enjoy leveling your pokemon! ![]() WARNING: DO NOT USE HEAVY OBJECTS TO KEEP THE D-PAD AND B BUTTON PRESSED, AS THIS CAN DAMAGE THE BUTTONS. I'm sure the trick would work for any DS device, including the 3DS. As far as taping things down, I'd rather not do that to a shiny new 3DS, as I think that scotch tape or masking tape would not be enough to do the trick--those buttons are pretty stiff. Also, isn't this one of the worst ways to level a pokemon? Seems like there's something about EV's that don't happen when you do this or use Rare Candy. |

I understand, I wouldn't put tape on a new 3DS either. Had my DSi for a year though, and I know it can take a beating (dropped it several times) so I don't think tape would be that bad. I think because the buttons aren't as stiff on the DS/DSi models, it's possible to do it with weaker tape. As a casual pokemon player who doesn't even know what EV, IV, or STAB means, I don't really care much about that kind of stuff. I get your point though, this could be used for just a little while to get a pokemon up a few levels and I'm sure it wouldn't do too much damage. |

Good tip. Thanks! I'm doing it right now but now I'm worried... Could this damage the buttons?

| Not after you EV train completely, and aren't scared of losing moves (say Dark Pulse for Deino, only obtainable by breeding). I fully EV'd a Deino, as well as a Gible, before level 19, each.

My blue painting tape came off my DSi's B button though. I checked on my Deino after 2 hours, went from lv38 to 46. I'm gonna leave the ds plugged in like this all night, wake up, and hope that he's lv64 or higher. I replaced the weak painting tape with the wide clear Scotch tape. You sort of have to tape it down on as many sides as possible, because when I pressed the tape down on the B button and on the left side of the B button, it came loose. I took it off and did a more thorough job. Now the B button is still down as I'm typing this. Even if the tape comes off the B button, my character will still be walking, because the tape has never come off the D-pad for me. Added after 2 minutes: Quote:
I don't do wifi battles and I don't take pokemon games that seriously. Last edited by 3DSplayer; 04-11-2011 at 08:28 PM. |

ummmm but then you gotta pay for your pokemon to be leveled this was a waste of time then if you level them too much you lose your pokemon and lost the fun in training them
