Who's excited for this movie?

What's your fears and aspirations for it?


I just got my day off confirmed and plan to make the midnight showing at the Alamo drafthouse. Why does it matter that I'm going to the drafthouse? Because they have a full menu and a bar, nothing beats watching a movie with wings and beer.

I want to be excited for it, but I just can't like the all CGI suit and actor.

I definately feel like Reynolds is a bad fit for Hal Jordan mostly because he already clicked with me as Deadpool. As for the suit they should've made it real and just put the rest in CG it just looks badly tacked on as it is now.

I like that they are going for the current lore where the rings are powered by emotions (willpower and fear etc) and hinting at a possible sinestro corp war.

I'll give Reynolds a chance, even though he doesn't seem like the best Hal Jordan choice to me.

Hey I'll give the movie a chance... When is it coming out? I forgot lol

Hopes: It will be Star Wars with comic book characters.

Fears: It will be Star Trek with comic book characters.

Movie comes out on June 17.

The comics can be pretty trekkie, exploring the galaxy and different planets and such, but it should be more warsish since they can't take their time. Its Space cops the movie basically.

It seems to be incredibly cheesy, Captain America looks a lot more interesting in my opinion.

Speaking of captain America. Am I the only one that sees Aaron eckhart playing the part of cap better?
