I read this: E3 2011: IGN AU's Predictions - Xbox360 Feature at IGN

And it got me thinking, Nintendo will most likely use BluRay for it's next console and this is also rumored to be. They are also trying to make Rockstar release to their platform - this would be a great way for their first game

Seeing that BluRay has alot of space, I see lots of plausible stuff here.
Anyone who has played and enjoyed "RDR" must know their great improvements for the sandbox era.
(For those who does not know it stands for Red Dead Redemption)
Honor system
Fame system
Same weapon system as in Red Dead Redemption as well as the same wanted system but improved, I will write about this further down.
Way more outfits
Challenges (Animal life)
Consumables menu
Kit Menu, with a mask so you can hide your face not to loose good honor.
Animal Life, and countrysides.
Provisions menu
More shops and merchants around the game. So you can sell stuff you steal or find
BountyHunting, help the police guarding for good honor or track down wanted people. There is something similar in GTAIV but I want it to be way better.

And for the good stuff they could add in the game, this is just my thoughts and wishes. Most likely won't be in the final game.
If it were a Bluray exclusive,
They could push GTA a bit more to RDR, having the Item list, animal life etc.
Upgrade the wanted system. First I'll write it in short; (Maby cops pull you over at times, not necessary a bad thing, maby due to a faulty car light or something)
Upgraded wanted system, more living breathing city, be able to break in to regular homes. Places have a get together at times; if there's a church maby at some times there's a wedding there. People usually attending on Sundays. A community building: Someone celebrating a birthday party there.
That People stop and lock their cars, pay for parking and goes in somewhere.

Here's some 'a tad' deeper thoughts.


Less cops around the cities at times, unless something is going on...
As said earlier: At times there could be something going on, like a wedding somewhere in the city, a corporate dinner, or people having a get together at a random house....
You could be able to break in at many places, maby interrupt some guys poker night... Lots of stuff like this could be kickass.
Earning money with breakins, and the day after if you walk by you could see that police have closed the area and is investigating if you committed murder etc. (THEN similar to RDR) You get a bounty on your head, maby you buy a newspaper and a witness saw you and the police made a drawing posted in the newspaper. If you didn't wear a mask people would easier recognize you plus it would result in bad honor... (Very much like RDR, decide how people look at you. Some can see good in your misbehavior, doing bad stuff for greater good. (If you really never think a GTA character can be looked at as a good person) This is more like how you step, like in RDR you can be looked at as good but do lots of bad stuff with the mask on. Making it not to affect the honor bar.

And with a better Wanted system, improved version of RDR's wanted system. It would kick ass....

To sum some up

I wrote some about it, "about GTA going more realistic I would think Heck-NO!" , but coming to think about it some stuff would be awesome. Like being able to walk into LOTS of homes, breaking in. Stealing stuff for money, doing hits as a hitman.
And the city to be more living. Breathing. Some places to have a get together, while breaking in you could jump into someones poker night. etc, that would be awesome.
If you broke in and someone saw you, trying to flee and report you, you kill him. And day after if you get back, or the same night, depending on when someone saw you or not and you didn't manage to get him to keep his mouth shut or kill him, the "crime-scene" is sealed off. Police investigating. You
buy a newspaper if someone saw you, maby there's a drawing of you in it as a wanted criminal. suspected for murder.

The possibilities are huge, but will all of this happen? Red Dead Redemption showed us a lot of good stuff that would be k-i-c-k-a-s-s to have in the next GTA, and lots of it probably will too.
All of this may at some time be in a GTA title, but maby not just yet.
Heck it may be a new RDR game set in more modern time, or a new western game. Who knows? The possibilities are endless.
At least big due to Bluray, it opens a-lot of them.

D**n! That's alot to read.

I didn't play RDR, and the most recent GTA game I have played is Chinatown Wars.

But no doubt GTA V will be a great, expansive game. If the N6 manages to land it as an exclusive, even a temporary exclusive, or even a superior version, it would be a major win for Nintendo.

yeah I know :P I'm sorry bout that, tried to make it easier on the eyes with the colors splitting them in parts kind of.

Yeah, my main focus is just for it to be exclusive to bluray, it is a big big disc and I think it would open alot of possibilities

RDR was awesome! Much much better game than GTA IV IMO.

Some corners of the internet are close to having it being a Project Cafe exclusive.

I love pre-E3 speculation.

Looking forward to GTA V immensely. I would like to be able to enter more buildings, but really all I want is more of the same, but bigger and better looking.

RDR was excellent, but for me it was the characters and the humour that made GTA IV, particularly Roman, and who can forget Brucie and his funny balls

Yusaf from the Ballad of Gay Tony was pretty funny.
