How many of you have taken your 3DS abroad and did you get many streetpasses?

I'm going to Thailand in 2 weeks so I'm thinking of taking my 3DS with me, mainly to play on the flight. But I'll have a walk around with it in sleep mode too and see if there's much activity. I'm not sure if the 3DS is popular over there but it'd be cool to get a streetpass hit.

I took mine on a trip to Quebec and got one streetpass.

I'm not sure if a lot of people have a 3DS in Thailand.... If you're going to a heavily populated area then you might get some.

Best places to bring a 3DS are large gatherings which involve kids, like Theme Parks, Anime/Sci-fi Conventions, and/or Fairs/Carnivals.

I went to Anime Nebraskon 2011 which is an Anime Convention and got over 90 Unique street Passes.

I'm not sure how the 3DS market is doing in Thailand, but I'm sure you'll at least get a few. Good luck!

90! Wow. That's awesome.

I don't think the 3DS is a big seller in Thailand, but there's a massive tourist population over there so hopefully there will be a few people carrying their beloved console, like myself.

I was in Thailand 2 months ago. Not a single 3DS in sight. But then again I avoided the tourist-trail like the plague and went off the beaten tracks.

I'm sure Anime Nebraskon in the US, not in Thailand.

Hell, I take mine outside when I walk the dog and get nothing. You've probably got more of a chance of finding someone in Thailand than finding one where I live ._.

Haha! Things have really been picking up recently where I live, especially since Christmas. I get about 5 hits in Oxford and even more than that when I go home to Manchester/Bolton.
