Just to kick off the thread, I'm from the Pacific NW of the USA. Not particularly startling or unusual for most of the forum folks, I know. I've gotten very attached to the maritime climate (lots of rain and tons of rain-loving plants), and I'm only a few hours from a major temperate rainforest. My area has some interesting geological stories, including volcanoes, earthquakes, and catastrophic floods the size of skyscrapers. Almost all of which happened before recorded history. Spoiler! My (medium-sized city) is one of the more computer / wired cities, and I'm very proud of our large network of bike routes and the bike-friendly culture. In fact, my husband recently sold his car, since he bikes to work, and we can either do car-sharing or ride the light rail anywhere else. Shadowlink, don't forget to tell us yours! (@Superking890, this strikes me as more of a poll than an introduction, but I'm not a mod. Thank goodness!) EDIT: added mountain pictures; will add other illustrations as time permits. This is more of a "Show us where you live" kinda thread and as such belongs here. Its actually not a bad idea. We have members in some pretty cool places and I'd love to see some pics from their place of residence.
