So I'm starting highschool on the 6th. Is it really as bad as everyone says? I'm gay and feminine so not sure if I got it rougher then normal boys. My plan is to just stay hide and be quiet for the next 4 years.

People will point you out for being gay, no matter how quiet you are. Just ignore them, and seek help when you need to. Don't ever be rude back to them. Eventually they'll realize what a douche they were. If they ever get physical, talk to a superior.

High school is **** (or should I say ponies?). It's a lie when they say it'll be the best years of your life. I still miss Recess. Just get through it like everyone else, and pick some nice friends. Maybe you'll find a closet friend and share some memories with him. That should increase the experience of high school Good luck!

I love high school, though I guess it could really depend on where you go to school and what kind of people go there.
Jelly's right, pick some nice friends and you should get along fine. Just try not to get yourself dragged into too much drama.

High school should be some of the best years of your life. Lots of opportunity to meet new friends, relative independence from your parents, and no serious responsibilities.

Highschool will either be the best part of your life or the worst. There is no third option.

As for which one of those it will be for you, that's largely up to you.

High School is rough, ESPECIALLY for an openly gay feminine male. I was fortunate enough to avoid all of the bashing since I'm not feminine, but I've watched people do horrible things to many gays. Hopefully you'll meet open-minded friends who will support you, and then you'd do fine. But to be honest, people can sense it and they'll pick on you regardless. I wish you the best and hope that your school isn't filled with jerks.

High School can end up being the best years of your life if you are surrounded by friends. You find out more about yourself and figure out where you want to go in life.

I'm no homosexual, and I'm not a guy so I don't know if I'd be much help here.

High school is definitely not a nightmare for me. I mean, the worst I've experienced are bad project partners and getting chewed out for inadequate scores on whatever subject I messed up with. To be honest, if I were to look back twenty years from now, I'd say high school was an amazing part of my life - But then again, I can't expect everyone else to experience the same stuff I have.

I don't really suggest hiding your sexuality because I think that would really dampen your experience. You are who you are, and well... if you're having problems seek some help.

And yeah... I could see how my post might not be in any way helpful.

Oops, I didn't notice the gay part of your post. You will likely be relentlessly harassed daily to the point where you consider taking your own life. Try to keep in mind it's only four years, and things will get better after.
