Default How do you get rid off a blocked nose?

If any of you suffer from hay-fever or any allergie or any sickness you may get a blocked nose! VERY ANNOYING! I can't smell nor breath through my nose!
Do you guys know how to get rid of a blocked nose?

Get some Altoids and stick them in your nose!
I'm not kidding, I did the same thing!
If possible get the old fashion kind!
And I'm sorry if this doesn't work for you!
Oh and make sure not to stick them too far up :P

If it's from allergies, Claritin typically works pretty well for me.

Go into your bathroom, turn the shower on to the highest temperature and shut the door. The steam will clear your nose.

Step 1) Stand up.
Step 2) Face a wall nearby, about 5-8 feet away from you.
Step 3) Stick your head out a little.
Step 4) Run to the wall.

If you have a broken nose and/or your nose is bleeding you have done this correctly.

I take Allegra because it's non-drowsy. Also Afrin helps, especially the menthol kind. If you don't want that there's always snorting warm salt water like my grandma Pavlick used to do. You mix a little salt in warm water, either pour it into the cup of your hand or make sure it's close enough to the top that you can get your nose into the water. Snort it up and then start blowing.

In the hand works better. That way you don't get too much up in one time.

There's also always eating something extremely spicy. There's a Mexican restaurant that used to serve salsa so spicy I swear it would cure the common cold. They made it weak after the former owner retired and his money hungry nephew took over. (No, seriously, the nephew and his brothers and sisters kept their uncle from marrying the woman he loved because they were afraid they'd never inherent the restaurant! So the uncle never married.) So now I go for Tai food and get their triple spicy red curry when stuffy.

If it is allergies, try some Zyrtec or nose spray.
Those typically help me out during the spring time.
