You have to delete the video, edit, then upload it again.

Will an annotation work?

You can try YouTube's mediocre and dull online editor. I've never personally used it, but if it's good for anything, it's probably cutting out footage.

If it can even do that.

I don't think I can do that without making a brand new video.

You could try to cover it with an annotation, but it's really easy to deactivate them, so it's not the best idea.

Delete it, edit it, reupload it.
