Gosh, are you specific. I'd say about $0.75-$1.50 per game card or disk. It could be more depending on the price of the materials. You should really be more specific in the OP so people know what you are talking about. |

The cost to package and produce the actual cartridge is probably about $1. Most of that money goes to the case (lots of plastic) and the instruction booklet (ink, paper). The cartridge itself is small, so not much plastic and putting the software on it is like, 1 cent. They sell it for $40, though, to pay for all the production costs that created the game. Also because they can get away with it. |
