Default The Hunger Games Movie

Is anyone besides me excited about this? I really liked the trilogy. The movie's been slated for next March. I heard the actress for Katniss is getting special training in archery and speed. Suzanne Collins and the fans of the trilogy are watching Hollywood's every move to make sure they get it right, so I'm fairly confident this movie won't suck. I just hope it doesn't get turned into Twilight drama 'cause of Gale and Peeta. That would ruin it. So what do you guys think?

I'm not really too exited about it (I haven't read the books yet so I have no idea if they're good or not). My sister on the other hand......

I've heard it's a good series... but I'm not motivated to read it since the basic concept is a rip-off Battle Royale (Koushun Takami).

THE HUNGER GAMES Vs BATTLE ROYALE - THE GALAXY EXPRESS

No offense to Suzanne Collins. I really liked her Gregor the Overlander series. I don't mind it when an author borrows from another's work but the similarities between the Hunger Games and Battle Royale are too close to be ignored and she should acknowledge that Takami's novel was an inspiration for her own work.

Although I do agree with you. But you should read the series. Collins is a great writer and it's great storytelling.

I am super excited, but I'm hoping the movie isn't awful, it would kind of make the books seem ehh.
