Default I found a Gameboy for $3.00, I'm going to (hopefully) make a real case for the 3DS!

With slots for the games, 6, I calculate. There is going to be nice foam, with a cool overlay which will protect it as well. An elastic band to secure it down in the base. The inside top is to have a pouch for holding the AR cards.

My extensive modding please give me strength to bring this to life. Wish me luck, guys!

All of this is inspired by the video and my modding Retro experience. It is a great idea that could be executed into greatness.

I call it Recycling. :O

Honestly, the system was really rough. A lot of corrosion, and it looks like soda spillage. I keep everything anyhow as you never know where you kind find uses. That is how my wife figured out how to make wristwire bracelets out of the leftover nes and atari controller wires.

I cleaned the system up too, so maybe I can house it in something neat. If it works.

Oh...and my original GB is in pristine condition.

The 3DS is a tinny bit smaller, so it can fit.

My trouble is the padding I have, while soft, is about an inch thick. I can get something much thinner, but it will be more firm. Sort of like the existing cases insides. Any thoughts of ideas?

Hell, any ideas in general? It would be cool to get everyone's input and ideas.

Tis quite a bit roomy! I hope I will be able to get the padding to work right.

I picked Solar Striker as the game to go in the slot, and on screen.

I got an idea to give it overall pimpage, disassemble your charging cradle and stuff it inside and modify the link cable port to accept the power adaptor wire. then replace the screen with another led screen that you program to display a message when charging or simply remove the screen and replace it with some Plexiglas and put a green led inside connected to the cradle part. this will give you a travel case and charger in one. if you feel adventurous you can also modify the cradle part to accept USB power and connection. as for padding stores usually have memory foam around for free samples
