Default I have a dilemma

ok so yesterday i went to gamestop i decided to trade in my wii, xbox 20gb,dsi and a few games i was hoping that that would amount to the price of a used 360 slim So i went in and they said they cant buy my wii off me because it was scrathced and i was like ok mum we can go now but she waited to see how much i would get for everything else so we did and it amounted to 132 euro i was like ok we can go now and then she said ill give you the 90 for it. So we bought it and now i feel bad because i only will be buying halo CE anniversary this year.Do you think i should pretend theres something wrong with it and brinh it back ?

Ouch, if your current Xbox 360 still worked, I wouldn't have traded all of those consoles just for a Slim version. The older Xbox can get the RROD, but you'd be surprised how long some last. You should maybe look into eBay for better prices on your used consoles.

As far as returning it, that depends how much you want to keep it. Would you be getting something else in its place?

I've had my Xbox for neigh on 3 years now and not one thing has gone wrong with it. The only advantage I'd say having the slim is not having the worry of encountering the RRoD.

If you bring it back, then what? You're not going to get all of your other stuff that you traded in back. You definitely should have thought this one through before you went and got rid of the other stuff. What will you do with the credit (assuming it's a used system you bought; if it's new, you can only do an exchange for the same thing)?

If you were only buying 1 game this year, what was the point of trading in all of that stuff for the slim? Was your regular Xbox not working or something? You didn't think things through, did you? This is why you have to think about what you're doing before you take action.

Gamestops trade in value isn't much different than any other retailer that accepts trade ins. In fact, many times Gamestop's trade value is even better. Some people just don't seem to realize the difference between "trading it to a reseller" and "selling your stuff to an end user".

Did you not read the post? "gamestop and shops like gamestop" Im not hating on just Gamestop, they are all rip offs.

But yes, I agree. Some people dont realize the difference between selling to a middleman (Gamestop) and selling without a middleman (Ebay, Amazon, Craigslist etc...) Although, Ebay and such do take a cut of the profit.

When you say "shops like Gamestop", I take that as you saying "game stores", not just retailers in general (ie. Amazon, Target, Best Buy, etc.). I think that's a pretty fair assumption on my part, being that big box retailers and online retailers aren't "shops like Gamestop".
