Default I hear it's amazing when....

"I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm, in flap-jaw space, with the tuning fork, does a raw blink on Hari-Kari rock! I need scissors! 61!"
-"Colonel Campbell"

Do you think that it'd be interesting to have a remake of MGS2 for the 3DS?
It'd have improved graphics, a re-written and less nonsensical story, and gameplay elements from the more recent MGS games at the very least. Maybe more playable Snake portions would be implemented. MGS2 was one of my favorites, but the length (or lack of) and story was a turn off for many gamers, it seems.

Hell, a MGS1 remake (like Twin Snakes, but with less epic bullet-time events) would be welcomed with open arms by me (since I find it painful to play the game ever since MGS2 and up spoiled me). I know graphics<gameplay, so what if they included CQC options, revamped levels/AI/bosses and a third-person view?

It's just that contemplating MGS3D:TNS has got me thinking about the future of MGS, you know? And Hideo did say he wanted the new generation of gamers to experience the roots of Metal Gear Solid in an interview a while ago (like a year or so).
Your thoughts?

MGS1 has a remake already, MGS2 is an abortion of a game that should be forgotten, and MGS3 is now getting a remake.

I'm content with where the series is right now.

Well, it was just a thought. :b
But why do you dislike MGS2 so much? I'm just curious.

Nobody liked MGS2.

Do you really even need to ask?

I'll give you a hint. It beings with an R.

Well, people have different reasons, you know?

And yes, I was put off at first when I realized that I wouldn't be in Snake's boots the whole way through, but after awhile, I got used to it.
He was rather girly, though. (Captain Obvious strikes yet again, I know)

If Kojima decided to reboot MGS2 somehow, how would you change it?

Honestly, with the story elements locked in, I don't know if you could change it in any meaningful way. Or do you mean redo the story as well?

As long as the end result somehow linked to the rest of the games, imagine you could alter the story in any way you wanted.

Yeah, the story after MGS2 was pretty much effed up beyond possible repair. It'd be interesting if they pulled out a MK9 sorta "what-if" story, though.
