I mean, if Nintendo had to stop making consoles and had to resort to making only games for any platforms, how would you feel? Would you be happy? Wouldn't you care? Would you be sad? I made this thread and this poll so we discuss about this, even if I'm sure this won't happen before a lot and a lot of years.

I would have mixed feelings if Nintendo had to do this. I would be shocked, and even sad, because that would be like the end of an era. Nintendo made some of the biggest video game franchises of video gaming history. Gaming wouldn't be the same without Mario.

On the other hand, I would be happy, because I would finally be able to play my favorite Nintendo franchises on other platforms than Nintendo platforms. I'd love to have a Mario game made by Nintendo on my PC (my favorite platform), without any emulator and illegal stuff. There are gamers who would love to play Super Smash Bros. on their Xbox 360 or PS3. I had a friend who wasn't happy because Brawl was on Wii.

So my vote went to "I wouldn't care / Mixed feelings".

Steam would have another use for me. Mario.

well, I would have mixed feelings..
'cause every time they make a new console or handheld. They try to bring a new "different" Mario game along with it(the controls, features of the console or handheld).

it would be great. they would have ALOT more money for development of games and new IPs. and you know they would have the best games all the time. the only downside of course, would be the fact that there would not be someone out there to innovate the way they do. Nintendo always thinks outside the box, and there would no longer be anyone out there doing that. nintendo is like the Apple of the gaming world, they innovate and change the game, so to speak, all the time.

I would change the poll's answers to things such as "Positive" and "Negative", but I don't think I can.
